Privacy Policy
JazLearnThai ("we") runs the Thai learning app at jazlearnthai.com. This page says what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, nickname, email address and WhatsApp number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google name, email address and profile picture, and nothing else from your Google account.
- Learning data: your answers, scores, review schedule and progress in lessons and classes.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) used to keep the service running and secure.
- Usage data: which pages you open and when you sign in, register or start a lesson, sent to Mixpanel so we can see how people use the app. It is linked to your account number, never to your name, email or phone.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account safe.
- To save your progress and choose which words you should practise next.
- To send account emails you ask for, such as a password reset.
- To contact you on WhatsApp about a class you asked to join (schedule and enrolment).
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Google user data
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google data only to sign you in and show your name in the app. We do not share it with anyone, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Assistant (operator tool)
The same operator also runs "Assistant", a private productivity tool used only with the operator's own Google account. It may read and draft Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Sheets content, and only when the operator asks it to. Tokens and data stay on the operator's own computer. It is not offered to the public, and its data is never shared, sold, or used to train AI models.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on Google Cloud (Cloud Run and Cloud SQL). Only the operator of JazLearnThai can access it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account yourself in the app (Profil, Akun, Hapus akun); that removes your account and learning data at once. If you cannot sign in, email us and we delete it within 30 days. See how to delete your account. Basic server logs are kept for a short time for security. Usage events in Mixpanel are not deleted, but they carry only an account number, which no longer points to anyone once the account is gone.
Your choices
- Delete your account and learning data yourself in the app: Profil, Akun, Hapus akun (steps).
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
- Remove JazLearnThai's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
JazLearnThai is not meant for children under 13 without a parent or teacher.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
